I love horses, and yes, my sweetie is a horse! However, thus said, I don't think a person has to be a horsegirl to enjoy horses thoroughly.
It's amazing how I need to invest in a new helmet for (almost) every sport to take up. Over the last few years, I acquired a bike helmet and another one for inline-skating. While I am decided that I'm that fond of grooming the horses it is required to wear a helmet for the horseback riding practices. Mom and Dad bought each with a helmet. Certainly I need an additional one for free climbing. As today I exercise only on a climbing wall saved by someone who assist and not in the nature where rocks can hit my top. I am now up to four helmets in my collection.
This got me thinking - can you judge how active a person is by their Helmet Activity Index?
Honestly, any activity that requires a helmet or fondly called "brain bucket" is risky in one way or another. You wouldn't imagine people wearing helmets for bowling or golf, wouldn't you?
How awful bore those guys must be who haven't a helmet collection. Assuming those guys who have the helmets are not sitting on the shelf gathering dust, I think this is a pretty good indicator.
So next time that you meet someone new, why don't you ask them: "how many helmets do you own?"
